How do I watermark a photo?

Type your text or pick a logo image, choose one of nine positions or tile it diagonally across the photo, and set opacity (10–100%) and size (2–12% of the image width). Click Apply and the watermark is drawn straight into the pixels — locally, with nothing uploaded.

A private image toolkit, not just a watermark remover

Clean the Gemini sparkle, then finish the job — crop, resize, convert and adjust without uploading a single pixel.

Lossless watermark removal

Reverse-alpha math restores the true pixels under the Gemini logo — no blur, no AI guesswork.

Crop & resize

Crop to any aspect ratio with draggable handles, then resize to exact pixels or quick scales.

Convert & compress

Export to PNG, JPG or WebP with a quality slider and a live file-size estimate.

100% private

Every tool runs locally with undo/redo. Nothing is uploaded — it even works offline.

Add a watermark in 3 steps

Text or logo, positioned or tiled — your call.

Choose Text or Logo

Open the Watermark tool and type your text (e.g. "© Your brand") — or switch to Logo and pick an image file, ideally a transparent PNG.

Position and style it

Click a cell on the 3×3 position grid or flip on "Tile across image" for a diagonal repeat. Dial in Opacity (10–100%) and Size (2–12% of the image width).

Apply and export

Click Apply — the watermark is stamped into the image — then download as PNG, JPG or WebP. Undo removes it instantly if you change your mind.

What people watermark

Photography proofs

Send clients tiled, low-opacity proofs so images can be reviewed but not used before payment.

Social media credit

A small corner handle or brand name that travels with your image when it gets reshared.

Product photos

Stamp your shop name on listing photos so competitors can't lift them straight into their own listings.

Portfolio work

Mark concept art, designs and drafts with a logo watermark while keeping the piece viewable.

Document stamps

Tile CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT diagonally across a page image so the status is impossible to miss — or crop out.

Frequently asked questions

Everything about adding watermarks with PixKit.

How do I add a watermark to an image?+
Drop your image in, open the Watermark tool, type your text, set the opacity, size and position, then click Apply. Download the result when you’re happy with it.
Can I use my own logo as the watermark?+
Yes. Switch the tool to Logo mode and choose an image file — a transparent PNG works best. The same position grid, opacity slider and tiling option apply to logos.
Can I tile the watermark across the whole image?+
Yes. Choose the Tiled option and your text or logo repeats diagonally across the entire image, making it much harder to crop out.
How big and how transparent can the watermark be?+
Size runs from 2% to 12% of the image width — so it scales with the photo — and opacity from a faint 10% up to a solid 100%. The defaults (5% size, 55% opacity) suit most photos.
Is the watermark tool free?+
Completely free — no account, no usage limits, and no tool branding added to your image.
Do my photos stay on my device while watermarking?+
Yes. The watermark is drawn onto a canvas in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and the tool keeps working offline.
Will the watermark stay readable on light and dark photos?+
Yes. The text uses a translucent white fill with a subtle dark shadow, which keeps it legible over both bright and dark areas.

Free online image watermarking

PixKit adds a text watermark to your images entirely in your browser. Type your text, choose the opacity and font size, and place it in any of nine positions — or switch to tiled mode to repeat it diagonally across the whole picture so it can’t be cropped out. The watermark is drawn with a translucent white fill and a subtle dark shadow so it stays legible on both light and dark backgrounds.

Text or your own logo

Alongside text, a Logo mode stamps an image of your choosing — a brand mark, signature PNG or icon. Pick the file, and the same position grid, opacity slider and tiling switch apply to it; a transparent PNG logo composites cleanly over any photo.

Built for control

A relative font size (2–12% of the image width) means your watermark scales correctly whether the image is a tiny thumbnail or a full-resolution export. Opacity runs from a faint 10% hint up to a bold 100% stamp, and the 3×3 position grid lets you tuck it into a corner or center it dead-on. Tiled mode rotates the repeats diagonally, covering the frame edge to edge.

Private and account-free

Your images are never uploaded — the watermarking runs 100% locally and keeps working offline. There are no accounts, no usage limits, and no watermark-of-the-tool added to your output. Apply, undo, and re-apply as many times as you like, then export as PNG, JPG or WebP.
