Choose the Circle shape and PixKit first crops your image to a centered square, then clips it to a clean circle. The area outside the circle becomes transparent, so the result drops straight into a profile, badge or app icon without an awkward background box.
Pick the Rounded shape to keep the full rectangle and clip only the corners, using a tuned radius (about a quarter of the shorter side) that always looks balanced. The Border slider (0–40%) then insets the shape inside the frame — in Circle mode it shrinks the circle to leave a margin, and in Rounded mode it adds padding all around, from a hairline gap to a bold ring.
By default everything outside the shape stays transparent, ready for a PNG or WebP export. Or pick a background from the swatches — white, ink, green, blue, pink, amber — or any custom color from the picker, and the margin and corners fill with it instead.
